The Top 12 from SBS’ "The Ballad of Us" joined hosts Jun Hyun-moo and Cha Tae-hyun for an open radio special, bringing live vocals and fan energy back to the studio.
On the Jan. 6 episode of SBS’ “Mumu x Chacha The Ballad of Us Radio,” the fan-favorite finalists made their return for an “open radio” session.
Kicking things off, Jun and Cha thanked viewers for their overwhelming support and teased that listener stories and song requests would be delivered straight through the voices of the Top 12.
Fans turned up in person to cheer them on. One young admirer of Jung Ji-woong said she fell for him after his performance of “Lie, Lie, Lie,” adding with a laugh, “He’s so handsome.”
Choi Eun-bin, who recently moved from Masan to a group dorm in Seoul after the competition, joked about big-city sticker shock. “I even visited Seongsu-dong and a pop-up store was giving out free cosmetics. I thought, wow, Seoul must be a really rich neighborhood,” she said, drawing chuckles.
Song Ji-woo shared a hilariously awkward run-in with a fan. “I went to a public bath, and a woman loudly asked, ‘You’re from 'The Ballad of Us', right?’ Then she told me to sing a line,” she recalled. “I ended up singing a bar right there in the tub.” Even as she works on overcoming her introverted side, the moment had everyone cracking up.
