The “Yoo-Yoo” duo rang in the New Year with their signature bickering chemistry.
On the January 6 episode of SBS’ "Whenever Possible", Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok shared playful New Year’s greetings―and plenty of jokes to match.
Chatting about their zodiac signs, the pair realized they’re both Year of the Rat. “You’ve kind of got a mouse look going,” Yoo Jae-suk teased, prompting Yoo Yeon-seok to protest with a laugh, “A mouse? Seriously?”
Yoo Yeon-seok added, “They say if you’re a Rat born at dawn, you’re destined to live a busy life.” Yoo Jae-suk shot back, “Yeah, you’re up at dawn, running around―next thing you know, you’re in a trap. Don’t wander before sunrise,” keeping the roast going.
Later, Yoo Yeon-seok pulled up an AI-generated New Year’s fortune for Yoo Jae-suk. The reading suggested, “You’ll shine more by organizing the board than by jumping to the front. Holding the center will bring better results than trying to steal the spotlight.”
“I’m not the showy type―you are,” Yoo Jae-suk ribbed his co-host, before asking the free AI to weigh in on their duo’s compatibility.
When the bot replied, “It’s hard to find information on the compatibility between Yoo Yeon-seok and Yoo Jae-suk,” Yoo quipped, “So because I’m not paying, you can’t give me a straight answer?”―and the studio cracked up.
