Kim Do-hoon took home an Excellence in Acting trophy.
Broadcast live from SBS Prism Tower in Seoul’s Mapo District at 8:50 p.m. KST on Dec. 31, the 2025 SBS Drama Awards honored Kim with the Excellence Award for Actor in a Miniseries (Melodrama).
Kim, who played Woo Jung-hoon in Love Scout, said with a laugh, “When I saw Jun-hyuk was nominated, I figured I didn’t stand a chance―so this is such an honor.”
He added, “Just two years ago I was here picking up Best New Actor, and now you’ve given me this Excellence Award. I really love SBS.”
Reflecting on his journey, Kim shared, “Before this project, every scene felt like a test. It was stressful enough that I sometimes wondered if this job was really for me. But through this drama―and thanks to the entire crew and my fellow actors―I learned to truly enjoy it and found the confidence to just act.”
Wrapping up, he thanked his agency and family, then sent a playful message to his teenage sibling: “Next year, be good to Mom and Dad,” drawing laughs from the audience.
