A German woman who has accused actor Lee Yi-kyung of misconduct says she has asked the Korean Embassy in Germany for assistance, framing the matter as a question of public accountability and a celebrity’s social influence rather than a private dispute.
Posting on social media on the 31st, she claimed there were clear instances of sexually explicit remarks and said the issue “shouldn’t be swept under the rug.” She added that, should an investigation move forward, she wants the other party to fully cooperate with digital forensics, stressing that her statements are grounded in fact and that she is pursuing action to correct the record with the actor and his agency.
She also released additional screenshots and photos, including portions of a KakaoTalk exchange containing sexual language, images from a filming set, and a KakaoTalk profile screen. She emphasized the materials were not AI-generated or doctored.
According to her account, the conversation began in Instagram DMs before moving to KakaoTalk. While she acknowledges she initially engaged with some of the messages, she says the tone escalated over time. She claims that after hearing a remark in April that she felt evoked rape, she cut off contact and decided to come forward.
She further denied claims that she sought money from the agency. She says she merely compiled and submitted materials documenting the conduct in question and did not engage in blackmail or request payment, noting that if she had intended to, she would have leveraged media exposure as pressure.
Lee Yi-kyung’s side has denied the allegations and initiated legal action. The actor has filed a complaint against the woman for defamation and spreading false information, while his agency, Sangyoung ENT, stated there have been no settlement or compensation talks and vowed a strong response.
