Actor Lee Si-eon, 43, and his wife, actress Seo Ji-seung, 37, are expecting their first child four years after tying the knot.
On Dec. 26, Lee’s agency Story J Company confirmed the happy news, saying, “It’s true―Lee Si-eon will become a father. The baby is due next year.” The couple went public with their relationship in 2017 and married on Dec. 25, 2021. Based on the due date, they’ll welcome their first child roughly five years into their marriage.
A day earlier, Lee subtly teased the pregnancy on social media, sharing photos from a Christmas get-together decorated with baby-shaped balloons.
Lee has openly shared his wish to become a dad on TV. On the June episode of MBC’s travel reality series "Adventure by Accident 4," he undertook a Tibetan Buddhist five-point prostration, saying, “My family and I have a wish―a new addition to our family. I hope it comes true this year or next.”
The five-point prostration is a devotional practice in Tibetan Buddhism in which both knees, both elbows and the forehead touch the ground. Though Lee noted he isn’t religious, he said he offered the prayer with sincerity and completed the demanding ritual without giving up, drawing attention from viewers.
