ENHYPEN’s SUNOO received the Foreign Minister’s Award at the 2025 Korea Social Contribution Awards, held Dec. 23 at the Korea Press Center in Seoul, recognizing his steady philanthropy and volunteer work―and the fan-led culture of giving he helped inspire.

Now in its 20th year, the Korea Social Contribution Awards spotlight individuals and organizations driving positive change across society. The ceremony is backed by 10 government ministries and public institutions, including the Ministries of Education, Health and Welfare, and Foreign Affairs, underscoring its credibility and civic mission.

Accepting the honor, SUNOO said, “There are so many people more deserving, so it’s humbling to receive such a big award. I started giving simply because I wanted to help, and now I feel a responsibility to be someone who brings more good into society. I’ll keep paying it forward with a warm heart.”

Over two rounds―in December last year and again recently―SUNOO donated to Samsung Medical Center. The funds have supported patient treatment costs, the hospital’s Patient Happiness Fund, and psychological and emotional support programs for pediatric and adolescent patients. In March, he also moved quickly to help communities recover and support evacuees after a major wildfire.

His kindness sparked the “ENHYPEN SUNOO Challenge” across social media, as ENGENE fans organized their own donations and shared proof online―turning generosity into a ripple effect.

ENHYPEN will return Jan. 16 at 2 p.m. KST with their seventh mini album, "THE SIN: VANISH," a tightly woven concept record extending the group’s signature dark-fantasy lore through the story of vampire lovers choosing to escape together amid uncertainty.
