"Boy", starring Jo Byung-gyu, Yoo In-soo, JINI and Seo In-guk, is set to open in theaters Jan. 14, 2026.
A near-future dystopian neon-noir where a single, life-altering love sets everything off course, "Boy" unfolds in the fictional port city of Pogu. The film is directed by Lee Sang-deok.
Known for his gripping turns across genres, Jo Byung-gyu plays Rohan, the young boss of the crime-soaked quarter known as “Texas Hot Springs,” anchoring a fierce, heartbreaking coming-of-age story and emerging as the new face of youth in the near future.
Yoo In-soo takes on Gyo-han, the boss who keeps order in Texas Hot Springs and wields a brutal grip over his younger brother, Rohan―delivering a new brand of charismatic menace.
Beloved solo artist JINI makes her acting debut as Jane, while the ever-versatile Seo In-guk transforms into the district’s absolute evil, the “Mad Hatter,” crafting a standout villain turn that heightens anticipation.
"Boy" had its world premiere in November at the 35th Fancine ― Fantastic Film Festival of Malaga, drawing a warm reception from local audiences.
The film hits theaters Jan. 14, 2026.
