Comedian Kim Won-hoon is set to spark laugh-out-loud friction with Lee Seo-jin and Kim Kwang-gyu on SBS’s reality-comedy series “Manager Seojin.”
Airing Dec. 12, the episode welcomes Kim as the show’s 10th “My Star” guest.
Kim’s YouTube sketch troupe Short Box exploded with its “Long-Term Relationship” series and now boasts roughly 3.7 million subscribers and about 1.3 billion cumulative views, cementing the team as a leader in Korean sketch comedy. He’s since showcased his presence on “SNL Korea,” “Office Workers,” “My Turn” and more, and in October he scored his second straight win as Comedian of the Year at the Brand of the Year Awards.
The meme machine behind catchphrases like “You doing this or not?” and “It’s kinda iffy,” Kim runs headfirst into a generational gap with the veteran duo. At one point, he fires off, “Quit dawdling―hop out already,” then immediately pivots with a sheepish, “Sorry, guys,” turning his about-face into a punchline.
A preview also shows the crew diving into a secondhand sale. Lee Seo-jin beams as he pockets a crisp 50,000 won bill from Kim―raising eyebrows over why the “Young Master” is so thrilled by a single note. Experiencing his first-ever resale, Lee tours the Short Box office and jokes, “Let’s sell this, too,” revealing a surprisingly material side.
Will the proudly old-school Lee and Kim level up into true trendsetters under Kim Won-hoon’s lead? Find out when “Manager Seojin” airs Friday, Dec. 12 at 11:10 p.m. KST on SBS.
