SBS’ Wednesday-Thursday drama "Dynamic Kiss" delivered a swoon-worthy “kiss ending” that pushed ratings to the top of its time slot.

According to Nielsen Korea, Episode 9, which aired Wednesday night, scored a 6.4% nationwide rating (6.3% in the Seoul metro), ranking No. 1 across all channels in its slot. The episode peaked at 7.5%. Among adults 20-49, it averaged 1.8% with a high of 2.2%, the best of any Wednesday broadcast. The series, which has already topped Netflix’s global charts for two straight weeks, is keeping its hot streak at home as well.

Spoiler alert: After learning that Go Da-rim (Ahn Eun-jin) is neither married nor a mom, Gong Ji-hyeok (Jang Ki-yong) finally chooses to pursue her. In the breathless final scene, he stops her, saying, “Don’t go. I don’t want to let you go,” and kisses her ― an ending that sent hearts racing.

Earlier, Ji-hyeok discovered Da-rim’s secret on the eve of his engagement to Yoo Ha-young (Woo Da-bi). Though rattled, he entered the ceremony for the sake of his mother, Kim In-ae (Nam Gi-ae) ― until she dramatically collapsed. It turned out to be a performance; In-ae only wants her son to choose happiness with the person he truly loves.

The next day at work, seeing Da-rim leaves Ji-hyeok even more conflicted. Believing his sour mood is about his mom’s health and the postponed engagement, Da-rim worries alone ― then spots Ji-hyeok making a gesture to cover Ha-young’s mouth and mistakes it for a kiss. Her heart drops.

Ji-hyeok keeps prodding Da-rim to be honest, urging “sincerity,” but she doesn’t pick up on it. He finally asks point-blank, “Who are you? Are you really Kim Sun-woo’s wife?” Shocked, Da-rim bows and apologizes. For Ji-hyeok, who’s been agonizing in silence, the hurt doesn’t fade easily.

That night, Da-rim finds Ji-hyeok in the rain and confesses everything ― why she disappeared from Jeju without a word and why she pretended to be a mother to get the job. Ji-hyeok sends her home, and Da-rim tells Kim Sun-woo (Kim Mu-jun), through tears, “It’s over.”

Sun-woo, in turn, confesses his feelings to Da-rim. It’s a rough night for all three ― the woman caught in the middle, the man laying his heart bare, and the one who can’t let go. The following day, watching Da-rim quietly help those in need, Ji-hyeok remembers exactly why he fell for her and keeps finding excuses ― like a field assignment ― to be near her.

When Ji-hyeok and Sun-woo sit for a joint interview, their boyish, low-key rivalry over Da-rim provides some playful sparks. After learning Sun-woo already confessed, Ji-hyeok grows anxious that Da-rim might choose someone else. He grabs her as she turns away and finally blurts out the truth: “Don’t go. I don’t want to let you go.” Then he kisses her.

After circling each other for so long, Ji-hyeok’s decision to go all-in on love lands with a thrill ― a kiss ending tailor-made to make viewers gasp. Jang Ki-yong, Ahn Eun-jin, Kim Mu-jun and Woo Da-bi keep the momentum high, toggling between bubbly charm and aching vulnerability as they chart each character’s emotional arc.

The episode also featured special cameos by Namkoong Min and Kim Ji-eun, who reunited with director Kim Jae-hyun (with Kim Hyun-woo) and reprised their "One Dollar Lawyer" roles, Cheon Ji-hoon and Baek Ma-ri. Their quick-fire banter delivered a crowd-pleasing crossover for fans of both shows.

Episode 10 of "Dynamic Kiss" airs Thursday at 9 p.m. KST on SBS.
