Sung Si-kyung is set to bring his signature velvet vocals to JTBC’s new weekend drama ‘Surely Tomorrow,’ adding emotional weight to the story.
The OST single ‘On a Certain Day, with a Certain Heart’ (literal title) will arrive as a pre-release at 6 p.m. KST on Dec. 4.
Sung not only performs the track but also wrote it and led the overall production, packing the song with the finely tuned nuance and depth he’s known for.
Recording with Park Seo-joon’s character Kyung-do in mind, Sung tailored his delivery to the lead’s arc―an interpretive approach expected to heighten the song’s impact within the series.
Veteran hitmaker Shim Hyun-bo penned the lyrics, while arrangers Gureum and Jeon Jin-hee helped shape the sound, reinforcing the song’s emotional pull and polish.
Quiet yet resonant, the track is positioned as the drama’s defining theme, designed to linger with viewers and deepen immersion in the story.
‘Surely Tomorrow’ follows exes Lee Kyung-do (Park Seo-joon) and Seo Ji-woo (Won Ji-an), who reunite under messy circumstances―as the reporter behind an infidelity expose and the scandal’s married partner―sparking a bittersweet, all-in romance. The series premieres Dec. 6 on JTBC and airs Saturdays at 10:40 p.m. and Sundays at 10:30 p.m. KST.
