Singer Lee Seung-gi, once Korea’s beloved “little brother” and now a proud dad at 38, is opening up about family life on a talk show.
On the Nov. 29 episode of "Kim Juha’s Day & Night" (episode 2), Lee―now in his third year of marriage―drops by as a guest to share candid stories about married life and parenting. He married actress Lee Da-in in 2023 and welcomed a daughter the following year.
Beaming about fatherhood, Lee says, “When I walk in and my daughter runs over shouting, ‘Dad!’ all the stress just melts away,” gushing over his 21-month-old.
But the doting husband and dad also confesses to one major slip-up: sneaking out for a solo round of golf on moving day. The reveal leaves all three MCs stunned―and everyone’s curious to hear how Lee Da-in reacted.
During the chat, host Kim Juha teases, “You used to sing about falling for an older woman―so why marry someone younger?” speaking for all the longtime noona fans. With a dramatic sigh, she jokes, “Some of us older gals are still single, you know,” cracking up the studio. The conversation turns serious for a moment as Kim reflects on online comments: “People weaponize that ‘no smoke without fire’ line. But in my experience, sometimes there’s smoke without any fire at all.”
A mom to a high school senior and a middle schooler, Kim offers the new dad some wry advice: “Kids cash in a lifetime of cuteness by age three.” Comedians Moon Se-yoon and ZO ZAZZ even rave that Kim’s son looks like Shohei Ohtani, but she waves it off with a self-roast: “Great body―face, not so much.” Then ZO ZAZZ chimes in with a surprisingly heartfelt zinger that sends the set into hysterics―what did he say? Producers tease that episode 2 pairs variety veteran Lee Seung-gi with rookie host Kim Juha for fresh laughs. “Look forward to straight-shooting Kim Juha and Lee Seung-gi, who’s traded boyish charm for proud dad energy,” they say.
