Soccer icons Park Ji-sung and Nakata Hidetoshi are teaming up as analysts for "Goalden Boys", a high-stakes special spun off from SBS’s hit series "Kick a Goal".
The first trailer is here, teasing what’s being billed as the most intense Korea-Japan showdown yet. "Goalden Boys" brings together 14 all-time greats from both countries for a five-a-side clash where pride is on the line.
Premiering Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 10:20 p.m. KST, the event revives national team rivalries as generational stars pull on their country’s kits once more. In a tight, small-sided arena, it’s hero-or-heel stakes and breathless, high-pressure action.
The trailer opens with a first-ever two-shot of Park and Nakata meeting at midfield for a classic pennant exchange ― a moment destined to live on as a dream image for fans worldwide. Midfielder Koo Ja-cheol declares, “Class never fades,” while Japan’s ace Honda Keisuke says, “You don’t just lose a Korea-Japan match. We’re giving it everything.”
In a twist sure to light up the broadcast, Park and Nakata reunite behind the mic. “He’s still my rival,” Park says, underscoring the matchup’s symbolism. Nakata answers, “I’m expecting play worthy of a true rivalry,” dialing up the tension even more.
On the pitch, highlights come fast: Lee Young-pyo’s stepover, Park Joo-ho’s picture-perfect Cross, Koo Ja-cheol’s signature turn, and a bicycle kick from Lee Keun-ho. “So quick ― that takes me right back to my playing days,” Nakata marvels, while Park notes, “You can see how badly the Korean side wants this one.”

"Goalden Boys" premieres Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 10:20 p.m. KST. It will stream on Netflix in Korea and on Prime Video in Japan, with additional OTT platforms carrying the special in select regions.
