Lee Seo-jin is opening up about his longtime connection to ANNIE of breakout co-ed rookie group ALLDAY PROJECT on SBS’ reality series “Manager Seojin.”
Airing Nov. 28, the episode features ALLDAY PROJECT as the show’s eighth “My Star” guests.
The co-ed act has rocketed to fame―topping multiple domestic streaming charts upon debut and even cracking a Billboard chart. Their pre-release single “One More Time,” dropped Nov. 17, also hit No. 1 on YouTube Trending in several countries, signaling their fast-rising global buzz.
Welcoming the youngest and largest “My Star” lineup to date, Lee shares he’s been friends with ANNIE’s father since his own school days and even reminisces about ANNIE’s childhood. ANNIE fires right back by pulling out some of Lee’s own cringe-worthy throwbacks, leaving the set in stitches.
ANNIE hails from the powerful Shinsegae retail family―she’s the granddaughter of group matriarch Lee Myung-hee and the daughter of Shinsegae Department Store chief Chung Yoo-kyung. Her father, Moon Sung-uk, is CEO of Shinsegae Live Shopping.
The teaser shows Lee and co-host Kim Kwang-kyu breaking a sweat trying to corral the group’s free-spirited energy. Viewers were here for the chaos, commenting that Lee finally looks truly flustered, that he resembles a homeroom teacher wrangling unruly kids, and that managing a friend’s daughter is bound to be entertaining.
Lee and Kim’s “raising five kids” kind of day will unfold when “Manager Seojin” airs Friday at 11:10 p.m. KST on SBS.
