Actor Cho Jin-woong is stepping in as the presenter for the expanded edition of SBS Special’s "War on Gangs".

The investigative program, which sparked major conversation earlier this year with its in-depth look at Korea’s drug crisis, returns November 30 with a bigger scale and on-the-ground reporting in an extended cut.

As presenter, Cho will heighten the immediacy of high-stakes investigations, drawing on his acclaimed turns as a detective in the film "Believer," tvN’s "Signal," and the feature "The Policeman’s Lineage."

Known for his resonant baritone and steady, grounded delivery, Cho brings credibility and emotional weight―elements the series is poised to amplify in this new run.

This "War on Gangs" installment embeds across the Philippines, Cambodia, and Ecuador, tracking gang networks with cameras rolling from pursuit through arrest for an unfiltered, field-level view.

Cho captures the urgency of international operations while underscoring the docuseries’ core message, aiming to leave a lasting impact.

He’s no stranger to narration, having lent his voice to the feature "Foulball," the documentary "1984: Choi Jong-won," and the Liberation 80th-anniversary project "Independence Fighters: The Unfinished War." In September, he also took a turn behind the mic as DJ on CBS Music FM’s "Movie Music with Choi Kang-hee." Looking ahead, he’s set to continue his momentum with "The Second Signal" in 2026.
