Director-actor Ha Jung-woo’s fourth feature, "The People Upstairs", has dropped 10 official stills that dial up the intrigue.

The film follows two couples―an upstairs pair (Ha Jung-woo and Lee Hanee) and the neighbors below (Gong Hyo-jin and Kim Dong-wook)―who agree to share a single dinner after a string of late-night noise complaints. What starts as a polite meal swerves into an unpredictable night of confessions and power plays.

The new images spotlight the upstairs duo, Mr. Kim (Ha Jung-woo) and his wife Sookyung (Lee Hanee), alongside the downstairs couple, Jung-a (Gong Hyo-jin) and Hyun-soo (Kim Dong-wook), capturing subtle shifts in expression and tension that tease the film’s escalating mind games.

Just when the evening seems routine, Mr. Kim floats an unexpected proposition that pushes the table talk into bold, unfiltered territory. Hyun-soo bristles, Jung-a’s curiosity is clearly piqued, and Sookyung appears willing to explore the experience her husband suggests―hinting at the frank, adults-only candor the film leans into.

True to Ha’s sensibilities, "The People Upstairs" blends needle-sharp observation with nervy, laugh-out-loud dialogue. With a powerhouse ensemble―Ha Jung-woo, Gong Hyo-jin, Kim Dong-wook, and Lee Hanee―the film pairs precision performances with whip-smart, left-field banter designed to keep audiences off balance.

"The People Upstairs" opens in Korean theaters on December 3.
