Jun Jong-seo has joined the cast of the "Highlander" remake, a Hollywood tentpole in the works from John Wick helmer Chad Stahelski.
The mega-budget global project assembles an all-star lineup including Henry Cavill, Mark Ruffalo, Russell Crowe, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan and Jeremy Irons. Stahelski is directing, with production under Amazon MGM Studios’ banner United Label.
Jun will portray a member of The Watchers, a clandestine organization that monitors immortals.
"Highlander", which launched with the 1986 film, remains a cult favorite with a passionate fan base, and the reboot is already drawing intense attention from longtime devotees.
Jun broke out with Lee Chang-dong’s "Burning," which premiered at Cannes, followed by her Hollywood debut "Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon" and, most recently, Toronto selection "Project Y." "Highlander" marks another step in her expanding global profile.
The reboot is slated to begin production in early 2026.
