EXO's D.O. has signed an exclusive deal with Blitzway Entertainment.
"We are thrilled to welcome D.O., a global artist beloved by K-pop fans and an actor recognized at home and abroad," Blitzway Entertainment CEO Hong Min-ki said on Nov. 5. "With our newly built music management system, we will fully support his acting, his work with EXO, and his solo releases."
Blitzway broadened its footprint in May by acquiring the music label KLAP, evolving from actor management and content production into a full-scale entertainment company. The agency says that infrastructure will create synergy across all of D.O.'s activities.
D.O. debuted in 2012 with EXO-K's first mini-album "MAMA" and quickly became a cornerstone of the K-pop wave as EXO's main vocalist, known for his smooth R&B-leaning tone and steady live vocals. With hits like "Growl," "Love Me Right," and "Ko Ko Bop," EXO took home MAMA's Album of the Year five years running.
On screen, he began with SBS's "It's Okay, That's Love" (2014) and built a wide-ranging resume with films "Swing Kids," the "Along With the Gods" series, and "Cart," plus KBS2's "Bad Prosecutor," moving seamlessly between film and TV.
His turn in tvN's "100 Days My Prince" set a ratings record for the network's Monday-Tuesday dramas. D.O. teases a new side today (Nov. 5) with the premiere of Disney+'s "The Manipulated."
His easygoing charm has also shined on unscripted TV: the 2023 tvN series "Green Bean, Red Bean" drew buzz for his natural chemistry with close actor friends, and on the currently airing "GBRB: Joy Pops Laugh Pops," he pairs dry wit with a calm, methodical streak as the group's quietly bossy youngest.
Blitzway Entertainment's roster includes Ju Ji-hoon, Chun Woo-hee, Jung Ryeo-won, Moon Chae-won, In Gyo-jin, So Yi-hyun, Son Dam-bi, Park Ha-sun, Woo Do-hwan, Chae Jong-hyeop, Jung In-sun, Yoon Park, Kwak Dong-yeon, Kim Ye-rim, and Chae Seo-an.
