Webtoon and contemporary artist Yang Kyung-soo―better known by his pen name “Yangchikii”―is launching a solo exhibition, 《Paradise After the Grind》.

Billed as a cheeky escape hatch for today’s overworked office crowd, the show promises both a laugh and a genuine reset.

Built around the idea of liberation and a lighthearted “paradise” for office workers, Yang unveils paintings and mixed-media pieces steeped in his signature wit and sharp social insight. He captures the grind with humor and heart, delivering big relatability and a jolt of catharsis.

Spread across two floors, the exhibition maps out a tongue-in-cheek “journey to liberation.”

On the 6th floor, “Prescription for Office Workers” serves as an art-led healing zone designed to ease stress and burnout through contemporary expression. Upstairs, the 7th-floor “Paradise Hall” symbolizes the liberation that follows―part of the artist’s wider universe and presented as a contemporary Buddhist art experience. Regardless of faith, it’s crafted as a hip, feel-good take on paradise.

More than mere satire, 《Paradise After the Grind》 turns the emotional fatigue―and the craving for escape―felt by today’s workers into something artful and resonant. Visitors can laugh and commiserate, then pause to catch their breath inside an imagined “paradise.”
