DIN DIN, newly tagged a “model celebrity” after calling out stars’ fuzzy “money mindset,” shared the unexpected fallout.
On the Oct. 27 episode of SBS’ "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny," the rapper appeared as a special MC.
The hosts teased that his blunt take ― that many entertainers lack a sense of money ― turned him into a voice of reason with viewers.
“After that, the offers poured in and my image suddenly got squeaky clean,” DIN DIN admitted. “But it made me overly cautious on air. Once I started overthinking it, I wasn’t as fun ― which became its own problem.”
Seo Jang-hoon noted that while audiences likely found his candor refreshing, fellow entertainers might feel differently.
DIN DIN agreed: “Colleagues joked they’d come ‘set me straight’ soon ― like I threw everyone under the bus just to look good.”
Co-hosts Lee Ji-hye and Jo Woo-jong jumped in, insisting, “Hey, we absolutely have a firm grasp on money,” prompting DIN DIN to offer repeated apologies. “I feel like I just walked into the enemy camp,” he said with a nervous laugh, breaking the tension.
