Netflix’s animated action-fantasy "KPop Demon Hunters" is heading to the big screen for a special sing-along engagement.
CGV announced on Oct. 22 that it will exclusively host sing-along screenings of the Netflix film for three days, from Oct. 31 through Nov. 2.
"KPop Demon Hunters" follows a trio of K-pop superstars who moonlight as hidden heroes protecting the world behind the glittering stage. Blending traditional Korean motifs with K-pop lore and an earworm-filled OST, the film has struck a chord with fans worldwide.
The sing-along event will roll out at more than 100 CGV locations nationwide, including CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall. With wall-to-wall screens and immersive sound, audiences can belt along to the soundtrack and cheer throughout. Fans are encouraged to bring lightsticks or dress as their favorite characters―expect concert-level energy in the theater.
CGV is stacking fan perks, too. Attendees will receive a limited A3-size poster while supplies last, and a character-themed photo zone will pop up at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall. Plus, a “Fandom Face-Off” screening will let “HUNTR/X” and “Saja Boys” supporters rep their teams, turning up the heat even more.
Tickets and full event details are available on the CGV mobile app and official website.
“We’re thrilled to bring the globally loved "KPop Demon Hunters" to theaters in a special sing-along format,” said Jeon Jeong-hyun, head of content operations at CGV. “Come sing, have fun, and feel the electric energy you can only get at the movies.”
