Cho Jung-chi leaned into his “delicate” image with a string of self-deprecating stories that had the studio in stitches.
On the Oct. 14 episode of SBS’s "Invitation from Bachelor Again," the musician appeared with his wife, singer Jung-in, alongside fellow guest Hong Jin-young.
The longtime couple shared they’ve been together for 23 years in total―11 years dating and 12 years married.
Host Tak Jae-hoon cracked, “So how much do you regret it?” Cho deadpanned, “We’re past that phase,” drawing big laughs.
Hong Jin-young chimed in, “I hear once you pass 10 years, it’s all about loyalty. Guess you were missing that,” playfully taking aim at the divorced host.
Kim Jun-ho piled on: “You came to the no-loyalty show,” noting that every member of the panel has been divorced.
“I’ll say this now―if I get married, divorce isn’t an option in my life,” Hong declared. Tak shot back, “Uh-oh. So what should a guy do if he wants out?”
“I’m actually really good to my boyfriend,” Hong said, selling her case. Tak blinked: “Why are you telling me that?”
Asked what habits of her husband bug her, Jung-in admitted, “I used to go for willowy, brooding types. I thought it was romantic. Living with one? Not as easy as it looks.”
Lee Sang-min then revealed just how fragile Cho can be: “I heard he once had to cancel a performance after a sneeze knocked him down.” Everyone gasped―and laughed.
“I’ve got a straight lower back, so sneezing jolts my spine,” Cho explained. “I’ve gone down a couple of times.” Jung-in countered, “He’s flat on his back for two or three weeks.” Cho quickly fact-checked: “One week. One.”
Cho also confessed that playing with his 5-year-old son and a friend sidelined his knee so badly he couldn’t run for a year. “Sounds like a joke, but it’s true,” he said.
Tak couldn’t resist: “Then how’d you have two kids―did you turn into Superman?” Cho grinned, “Let’s just say I’m relatively healthy in that department,” sending the set into laughter.
