The suspense thriller "The Woman in the White Car", led by Jung Ryeo-won and Lee Jung-eun, has unveiled a striking set of official stills that dial up the mystery.
The film tracks Do-kyung (Jung), who rushes her blood-soaked sister to the hospital and gives a muddled statement to detective Hyun-joo (Lee). As conflicting accounts pile up, the investigation races toward a truth no one remembers the same way.
The newly released images capture Do-kyung clutching a bloodied Eun-seo (Kim Jung-min) while pleading for help, then anxiously waiting at the hospital for her to wake. As Do-kyung’s story keeps shifting, detective Hyun-joo (Lee) and rookie officer Yong-jae (Lee Hwi-jong) grow suspicious―hinting at a rapidly tightening investigation.
Flashing back to the night of the crime, the stills show the sisters inside Do-kyung’s room; Do-kyung’s older sister Mi-kyung (Jang Jin-hee) with a chilling gaze; Eun-seo in brutal condition; Jung-man (Kang Jung-woo) with wild, unnerving eyes; and Do-kyung on the verge of unraveling. The images tease a knotty whodunit packed with buried secrets.
"The Woman in the White Car" scored Best International Feature at the 22nd San Diego International Film Festival and was officially invited to the Thrill strand at the 66th BFI London Film Festival, drawing global attention.
At the 26th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, the film picked up Watcha’s Pick Feature, while Jung Ryeo-won earned the Korean Fantastic Actor Award―recognition for both the movie’s craft and her tour-de-force performance.
