Ji Ye-eun is stepping away from "Running Man" for a brief, doctor-recommended break ― and it’s not about burnout, according to host Yoo Jae-suk.
On the Oct. 12 episode of the long-running SBS variety hit, viewers noticed Ji Ye-eun was absent. “As some reports have said, Ye-eun is taking some time off,” Yoo explained on-air, before clarifying: “Because we talked about burnout on the show, people might assume that’s the reason. It isn’t.”
“Ye-eun is undergoing a short course of treatment right now,” he said, with Ji Seok-jin adding that recent checkup results led doctors to advise temporary treatment.
Yoo noted the situation is similar to what Ji Seok-jin experienced in the past. “Once the treatment wraps, she’ll be back right away. I spoke to her recently, and she said she’s feeling much better.”
