SBS’s "Kick a Goal" is turning up the heat as the GIFA Cup Round of 6 gets underway.

On Wednesday, Oct. 1, FC Gukdae Family and FC Bulnabi square off for a spot in the semifinals―a marquee pairing born out of a fiery draw that had coaches trading jabs. There’s a twist this round: among the losing sides, the highest-scoring team still advances to the semis, so expect both clubs to go all-in on attack.

“We’re playing on the front foot and piling on goals,” vowed Gukdae Family coach Baek Ji-hoon, raising the stakes. All eyes are on whether his side can punch its ticket past Bulnabi.

The headline duel up front features Park Hayan and Kang Boram, who shared the Golden Boot in the G League. Back as a field player, the “flawless ace” Park declared, “If we lose, that’s it―there’s no tomorrow. I’m going out to score big.” Kang, fresh off a hat trick despite lining up in defense, fired back: “I’ve got a striker’s instinct. We’ll rack up the goals and make the semis.” Will No. 1 playmaker Park outgun Kang in this Golden Boot showdown?

Newcomers Jeong Jae-eun and Si Eun-mi also boost Gukdae Family’s depth. Si, a volleyball standout who impressed with clutch saves last match, gets the start in goal and reportedly steadied a barrage of early shots―enough to make rugby ace Heo Kyung-hee in the stands tense up. With the rookies in the mix, Gukdae Family looks primed for a stronger push.

It’s win-or-go-home. The single-match showdown between FC Gukdae Family and FC Bulnabi airs Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 9 p.m. KST on "Kick a Goal".
