Veteran actress Kim Yong-rim shared the backstory of playing a couple with Tak Jae-hoon ― who’s 28 years her junior.
On the Sept. 30 episode of SBS’ “Invitation from Bachelor Again,” Kim Yong-rim, Seo Kwon-soon, and basketball star Lee Kwan-hee drop by, delivering rapid-fire banter with the cast.
During taping, Kim opened up about their buzzed-about couple acting on SBS variety “My Turn,” admitting, “I did it because it was Tak Jae-hoon,” setting a warm tone on set. But when Tak kept needling her, she suddenly snapped, “Have some decency!” ― cracking everyone up. Lee Kwan-hee chimed in with a flirty shot: “I could date someone 50 years older. I’m a better catch than Tak, right?” sending the studio into laughter.
Lee kept the bravado going: “Even if you doubled the Invitation from Bachelor Again guys’ numbers, you still haven’t been hit on as much as I have. I’m on a different level,” he bragged, riling up the hosts. Later, when he said, “Even if my wife were mistreated by my mom, I’d still take my mom’s side,” Tak fired back, “That’s a 100% divorce case,” and the room lost it.
Tak and Lee also confessed they still gripe to their moms about home-cooked side dishes. Lee added that after tough losses, he’d slam the door and sulk, making his family walk on eggshells ― which prompted “mom mode” from Kim Yong-rim and Seo Kwon-soon, who tore into both men with a joint scolding to big laughs.
Elsewhere, Kim ― who recently shared the screen with Park Bo-gum on “When Life Gives You Tangerines” ― was asked to choose between Tak and Park. She picked Tak, making her younger co-star light up, then delivered the punchline: “Park Bo-gum can be loved by anyone ― Tak Jae-hoon, not so much,” bringing the house down.
Catch the wild chemistry when “Invitation from Bachelor Again” airs Sept. 30 at 11:20 p.m. KST on SBS.
