More than six months after the death of Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu, her husband DJ Koo has spoken to Taiwanese media for the first time.
According to local outlets, DJ Koo recently visited Jinbaoshan Cemetery―where Hsu’s remains are interred―with close friends from Korea, spending about an hour by her resting place. He has reportedly been making regular visits since her interment.
When a reporter asked if he often dreams about his wife, he replied in English without hesitation: “Of course.” Brief as it was, it marked his first public comment since her passing.
Wearing a wide-brimmed hat, he’s been bringing a small stool to sketch in front of the grave. A source says he’s preparing a sculpture of Hsu and has been trading ideas with friends for inspiration. He’s also said to bring her favorite snacks, candles, and photos of the couple.
Hsu’s mother previously shared that the statue will be based on a drawing by her son-in-law and “will be truly beautiful.” Local media expect the piece to be completed around the first anniversary next year.
