VERIVERY’s KANGMIN finished No. 9 on Mnet’s "Boys II Planet", narrowly missing the final lineup.

As he wrapped his run, the singer shared a handwritten letter to fans and fellow contestants, opening up about the four-month journey.

“In a long four months, there were tough days, but I was happy to be on a great show with great people,” he wrote on Sept. 24 via social media, adding, “Thank you to the fans who stayed with me to the very end.”

Thanking everyone who cheered him on, he continued, “I know there were times you were tired too, but you never gave up on me. Your support pushed me to move more, sweat harder, and bite down on stage. My life still has a long way to go, and I’ll give everything to become an artist and idol you can be proud of.”

He also sent love to his fellow trainees: “After six years with VERIVERY, this show reignited the fiery passion I didn’t even realize had faded―the nerves, the pounding heart, the eyes and moves that said we were ready to give it all. Watching you pour everything into each stage made me more sincere, too. We’re still at the starting line, so don’t lose heart or give in. Let’s live with no regrets. Let’s do our best to shine.”

KANGMIN thanked the production team and turned to his bandmates with a promise: “I know supporting me must have come with complicated feelings, and that moved me. Thank you for cheering on my new beginning. I’m back―let’s go, VERIVERY.”

Born in 2003, KANGMIN debuted with VERIVERY in 2019 and serves as the group’s main vocalist. Though he didn’t make "Boys II Planet"s final debut team, his heartfelt performances and work ethic drew strong support from fans.
