Lee Sun-hee just added “DJ” to her resume―41 years into her storied career.
On Sept. 20, the legendary balladeer hit the decks as “DJ HEE” at Ultra Korea 2025, held at Oil Tank Culture Park in Seoul’s Mapo-gu. Sporting thick black frames, an all-black fit and headphones, she delivered a bold, high-energy set that had the crowd roaring.
Ultra Korea shared shots of the moment on its official social channels, writing, “Legendary singer-songwriter Lee Sun-hee. Her first DJ stage at Ultra―proof that any age can be your prime when you take on something new.”
Born in 1964, Lee broke out in 1984 after winning the MBC "Riverside Song Festival" with “Dear J.” She went on to become a defining voice in Korean pop with classics like “Fate,” “Meet Him Among Them,” and “Ah! The Good Old Days.”
In recent years, Lee faced legal scrutiny over the alleged personal use of a corporate card; last year, a court issued a summary order imposing a fine on a breach of trust charge.
