Huh Gak is back with a brand-new love ballad, “September 24th.”

The singer drops the single today (Sept. 23) at 6 p.m. KST across streaming platforms. The track is a remake of Lim Han-byul’s 2021 original, reimagined with Huh Gak’s signature warmth and emotion.

Built on a lyrical piano line, Huh’s rendition eases in with hushed, restrained vocals before swelling into a late-song rush of feeling―holding back just long enough to make the payoff hit harder. The result brings a tender, distinctly different shade to the fan-favorite tune.

His soulful tone and lyrics about unwavering, lifelong love ride an arrangement that gradually climbs in intensity, inviting listeners to revisit the memories of a day that meant everything.

A teaser released on OS Project’s official YouTube and social channels drew raves for his finesse and sensitivity, with fans commenting, “The legend delivers again” and “That soft, honeyed voice―so good.” Notably, this marks Huh Gak’s first love song in about two and a half years, following his 2023 release “Mullon (Of Course),” heightening anticipation for a comeback that isn’t a breakup ballad.

A serenade about the thrill of falling in love and making a forever promise, “September 24th” is poised to become a go-to confession song this season.

Meanwhile, Huh Gak recently released “Stay with Me,” a soundtrack for tvN’s drama "Bon Appétit, Your Majesty," and will reunite with fans at a Seoul encore date for "The War of Vocalists II" on Oct. 3.
