TWS's SHINYU and &TEAM's EJ have been tapped as the new MCs of SBS's music show Inkigayo, joining IVE's LEESEO to form a fresh three-host team.
The show confirmed the revamped lineup on the 22nd. SHINYU of the refreshing fifth-gen boy group TWS and EJ, the fast-rising leader of &TEAM, will step in alongside returning host LEESEO to steer the live broadcast.
SHINYU previously made a splash as a special MC, keeping the live show running smoothly with sharp prep and quick wit. He also won over producers with his playful stint as a "part-time MC" on Inkigayo's web spin-off, Snack Bar Gayo.
EJ, who has already built a global fandom with million-selling releases in Japan, regularly took the Inkigayo stage ahead of &TEAM's official Korean debut. Known for his upbeat energy, leadership, and commanding stage presence, he's expected to show off new facets as he steps behind the mic.
LEESEO will continue at the helm, promising new chemistry with her co-hosts. After 17 months of steady hosting, the IVE member is set to deliver an even more colorful trio dynamic.
"Inkigayo" producers said, "With their fresh, first-love visuals, SHINYU and EJ will bring new synergy as next-gen leaders. Please look forward to the fresh appeal the three will create together with LEESEO."
The new-look Inkigayo with IVE's LEESEO, TWS's SHINYU, and &TEAM's EJ will premiere in October.
