Attorney Young-sook (real name Seo Soo-hyun), who appeared on SBS Plus and ENA’s reality dating series 'I Am Solo' Season 7, says she has chosen to forgive her husband after going public with claims she was the victim of a sham marriage.

In a recent Instagram post, Young-sook said her intent was to update the friends and followers who had celebrated her wedding and to share how she plans to move forward―not to expose the past or feed the rumor mill.

Young-sook previously shared that she met a Spanish pilot in Dubai and held three wedding ceremonies. She later alleged he concealed two prior marriages and, while the couple continued with ceremonies without filing a legal marriage registration, engaged in infidelity.

Even so, Young-sook wrote that she doesn’t regret her past. “I tried to understand and forgive someone I once loved deeply,” she said, adding that it’s been painful to see some people twist those memories into tawdry stories.

She also acknowledged her own imperfections: “There are still things I don’t understand, but I don’t want to believe every tender moment was a lie,” she wrote, noting that she, too, may have been stubborn at times.

Explaining why she spoke out, the attorney said she hoped her story would raise awareness that “even an Asian woman and a lawyer can be victimized.” “I am the victim, but I’ve decided to forgive,” she continued. “Mistakes should be corrected, but I also hope for compassion so the person who hurt me can be seen as an imperfect human being.”

She closed by asking people to stop speculation, malicious posts, and misinformation, vowing to protect her peace and live stronger and happier.
