Actor Park Hyung-sik’s team is pushing back on a report that he pockets 400 million won per episode.

On the 17th, his agency, LEV Entertainment, said that figures cited in the press regarding his fees―from "Doctor Slump" to the recent series "Twelve"―“do not reflect reality,” adding that “because inaccurate numbers are being treated as fact, we’re sharing our official position.”

The agency also noted, “Park Hyung-sik approaches every project with diligence,” and asked fans to continue watching his future work with warmth and support.

A day earlier, one outlet claimed that KBS2’s weekend drama "Twelve" ended with a 2.4% rating amid criticism over shaky writing and subpar VFX, and alleged that leads Ma Dong-seok earned 500 million won per episode while Park Hyung-sik received 400 million won. The report further asserted that the pair’s combined fees amounted to 34% of the show’s estimated 23 billion won budget, stoking debate over ballooning talent costs.

Back in March, a separate rumor spread online that Park was paid 500 million won per episode for JTBC’s "Doctor Slump."

With high-price chatter circulating for months, Park’s camp has now gone on the record: the numbers making the rounds aren’t accurate.
