I-DLE’s YUQI is putting a fresh spin on '90s old-school hip-hop in her latest visual tease.
On Sept. 12, Cube Entertainment dropped the music video teaser for “M.O.,” the title track from YUQI’s debut solo single “Motivation,” via I-DLE’s official social channels.
Set to the lyric “So what’s your M.O.?” and her signature razor-sharp beat, the clip cranks up the intrigue.
The teaser promises striking visuals: in a surreal set, YUQI pairs glossy, statement nails with a bold hat; in a '90s-coded office, she climbs a podium made of printer paper with effortless swagger. At a vintage hair salon, she whips off a blue wig―quick, unpredictable cuts hint at a music video loaded with surprises.
Earlier, YUQI drew raves with an Alice in Wonderland?inspired photobook concept. Her pre-release track “It Hurts” showcased luminous visuals, confident acting, and polished production, sending its music video to the upper tier of QQ Music’s overall MV chart in China.
With “M.O.,” she leans into '90s hip-hop nostalgia, blending audacious confidence with a fresh, YUQI-first point of view.
YUQI’s single “Motivation” arrives Sept. 16 at 6 p.m. KST on major streaming platforms.
