Ex-PARAN's Choi Sung-wook personally announced the birth of twins and shared heartfelt gratitude and admiration for his wife, Kim Ji-hye, a former member of Cats.
Posting on Sept. 11, he wrote, “On Sept. 8, 2025, our twins ― nicknamed Baekho and Yorong ― finally came into the world.” He added, “No one went through more than Ji-hye. Thank you for enduring such a hard time. She powered through a long labor without an epidural ― pure mom strength ― and I can only admire her.”
“It reminded me again just how monumental motherhood is,” he continued. “After six years of infertility, we finally met our precious twins through IVF. For 35 weeks, my wife carried them while always putting the babies before herself.”
Thinking back on the pregnancy, he wrote, “Whether eating, going out, or trying to sleep, all she did was worry about the babies. I’ve known Ji-hye since we were 20 ― she’s always had strong self-love and loved dressing up ― but throughout the pregnancy she chose being a mom over everything else. I kept wondering if I could endure it the way she did.”
He also shared an update on the twins: “They’re in the NICU. They might feel a little scared or lonely, but they’re leaning on each other and hanging in there.” He added, “My wife should be focusing on recovery, but every time she sees them she cries ― I comfort her every day.”
“She tells me not to worry because moms are strong ― and as a dad, that humbles me,” he said. “We’ll be back to greet you all soon as a healthy, brave family. Thank you, truly.”
He closed with a message to his family: “Honey, I’ll do my best as a dad. Let’s recover quickly, take lots of smiling photos, and eat all the good food we want. Honey, Baekho and Yorong, I love you.”
Kim Ji-hye and Choi Sung-wook married in 2019. After a long fertility journey, they conceived twins via IVF. Mom and babies are currently recovering as fans continue to send love and congratulations.
