Actor Jung Woo-sung is set to step back into the spotlight at the Buil Film Awards, marking his first official public appearance in about a year.

Organizers of the 34th Buil Film Awards announced the lineup for the pre-ceremony handprint tradition, set for September 18. The event brings together last year’s winners for the ceremonial handprints ahead of the main show.

Jung, who won Best Actor at the 2024 ceremony for "12.12: The Day," will take part in this year’s handprint event. Also slated to attend are Kim Geum-soon (Best Actress), Im Ji-yeon (Best Supporting Actress), Lee Jun-hyuk (Star of the Year ― Male), Shin Hye-sun (Star of the Year ― Female), Kim Young-sung (Best New Actor), and Krystal Jung (Best New Actress).

Ahead of the ceremony, the program will feature the handprint tradition for last year’s honorees, followed by a red carpet for attending filmmakers and talent.

This will be Jung’s first public outing since the Blue Dragon Film Awards last November. He later confirmed he has a son with Model Moon Gabi and said he would fulfill his responsibilities as a father. Most recently, he registered his marriage with his non-celebrity girlfriend.

The 34th Buil Film Awards will take place at 5 p.m. KST on September 18 at the Grand Ballroom of Signiel Busan in Haeundae, Busan.
