Jang Tae-oh and Jung Yoo-jin, contestants from the Netflix dating reality series "Single's Inferno 4," have shut down rumors that they’re dating in real life.
On Sept. 8, one outlet claimed the pair “became a couple after the season wrapped in February.”
Speculation had been brewing online after fans pointed to what looked like matching phone cases and a reported trip together to Jeonju Hanok Village.
But Jung’s agency, Mood, issued a firm denial on the 8th, saying, “Jung Yoo-jin and Jang Tae-oh are simply close friends who met through 'Single's Inferno 4'―nothing more, nothing less. The report is not true.”
"Single's Inferno 4" aired from January to February and follows singles stranded on a remote island where only matched couples can “escape,” a premise that drew plenty of buzz. While Jang and Jung didn’t form a 'love line' on the show, they became a hot topic when romance rumors surfaced afterward.
Jang Tae-oh, born in 1994, is an actor whose credits include KBS Joy’s "Love Naggers 2," KBS2’s "Man in a Veil," and KBS1’s "The King of Tears, Lee Bang-won." Jung Yoo-jin, born in 1996, studied Korean dance at Ewha Womans University and is active as a dancer and influencer.
