Singer Kim Jong-kook, 49, is officially off the market.

Kim tied the knot this afternoon (the 5th) at a private venue in Seoul with his non-celebrity bride. The ceremony is closed to the public, with only family and close friends in attendance. His longtime friend Yoo Jae-suk will serve as emcee.

Earlier on SBS’s "Running Man," Yoo shared, "Jong-kook asked me to host. I actually had a shoot that day, but when he said it was his wedding, we moved the schedule. I’ve never been asked to emcee a ceremony this last-minute," confirming his role at the wedding.

Little is known about the bride. On "Running Man," Kim explained, "She’s not in the entertainment industry," adding to the cast, "You definitely don’t know her." He has also said multiple times that he has no plans to reveal his wife on TV moving forward.

On the 18th of last month, Kim posted a handwritten letter to his fan cafe to personally share the news: "I’m getting married." He wrote, "It took me a while, but I’m grateful I finally got here. I’ll work hard to make our married life a happy one."

In April, Kim purchased a high-end villa in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam, reportedly paying the 6.2 billion won price in cash. The newlyweds will make it their first home.
