K-pop star YENA has been named lead ambassador for “Banksy Is Nowhere," the famed street artist’s first large-scale solo exhibition in mainland China.

According to her agency, YENA will introduce the works and the show’s themes to the public while spotlighting key viewing points throughout the run. The position, described as “chief recommender,” effectively serves as the exhibition’s ambassador role.

Now open at the Sea World Culture and Arts Center (SWCAC) in Shenzhen, the exhibition showcases 34 Pest Control Office-certified prints ― including “Girl with Balloon” ― alongside object and currency pieces, archives and video, large-scale street mural installations, and recreations of the artist’s studio and a graffiti-covered restroom. In all, about 110 works are on display. The show runs through Nov. 16.

“Banksy’s work goes beyond art; it reflects society and reality with a sharp point of view,” YENA said. “I hope this exhibition encourages more visitors to engage with the questions his pieces ask.”

YENA recently dropped her fourth mini-album, “Blooming Wings,” showing off the many sides of her so-called “YENA-core” charm with an active slate of promotions.

She’s also fronting campaigns for a major alcohol brand and a streetwear label, underscoring her pull as a bona fide Gen Z icon. On Sept. 15 and 17, she’ll bring 2025 THE YENA SHOW <I Am a Star!> to Tokyo and Osaka, promising special stages and interactive moments for local fans.
