B-boy star Wing (Kim Heon-woo) took home the trophy in Portugal.
Wing of Korea’s powerhouse Jinjo Crew rose to the top at The Breaking Gala on Aug. 27 (local time), held at the Porto de Leixoes Cruise Terminal in Porto, Portugal.
After wrapping a workshop earlier in the week, Wing entered the competition and swept Japan’s Shuto with a 3-0 unanimous decision, showing both sharp conditioning and laser focus.
Staged inside the landmark Porto de Leixoes Cruise Terminal, the event was a highlight of The World Battle 2025 week, which runs Aug. 25-31.
Eight elite breakers representing South Korea, France, Lithuania, Australia, Ukraine, Japan, China and Portugal were invited to face off in a premium, gala-dinner showcase.
The pre-announced judging panel featured Ronnie, Ayumi, Frost, Skim and Kleju, with Max & MG hosting and DJ Godzi on the decks. The lineup included Wing, Sissy, Nicka, Den, Shuto, Xrain, Deeogo and Willastr8.
Wing currently represents Jinjo Crew, the Seoul Metropolitan Government Breaking Team and CJ. A standard-bearer for Korea, he has racked up more than 100 titles to date and continues to deliver on the international circuit, cementing his status among the world’s best.
Throughout The World Battle 2025 week, the city is buzzing with workshops, parties and breaking battles. On Aug. 28, Matosinhos hosted the WDSF Youth Breaking World Championships, turning the area into a full-on breaking festival.
