I-DLE MIYEON steps into the spotlight as a songwriter, dropping her first self-composed single and signaling a new chapter in her artistry.
The singer released the digital single "Sky Walking" at 6 p.m. KST on Aug. 28. It marks her first track she both wrote and composed, making the moment extra meaningful for fans.
A special “Macau Version” performance clip arrived the same day, capturing MIYEON strolling through the city’s streets and singing from a high-rise rooftop. The glossy visuals cut between Macau’s day-to-night skyline, matching her breezy vocal delivery with cinematic flair.
“I’ve been counting down to release ever since I first performed ‘Sky Walking’ at our concert,” MIYEON shared via Cube Entertainment. “Because it was the first song I wrote that I unveiled to Neverland (our fandom), it means that much more. I hope it feels like a happy little gift―and I’ll keep coming back with even better music.”
"Sky Walking" is an alt-pop track driven by muscular bass and drums, laced with '80s-tinged guitars and synths that land somewhere between dreamy and upbeat. Its hopeful message pairs with MIYEON’s signature clear, refreshing vocal tone to bottle a free-spirited, bright energy.
The song first premiered during I-DLE’s third world tour, 2024 I-DLE WORLD TOUR [iDOL], at the Seoul stop last August, where it drew an enthusiastic response.
