Singer MoonOne, who is set to marry Shinji of group Koyote, is taking a hard line against a wave of rumors―and stepped in again to clear up what he says are major misunderstandings.

Posting on his social media on the 17th, MoonOne wrote, “I did not sue fans who care about Koyote and Shinji.” He stressed that complaints were filed only against “those who created malicious content, the people who first spread falsehoods, and individuals who repeatedly sent obscene, personal attacks aimed at my family.”

The clarification followed his move a day earlier, on the 16th, to formalize legal action through his attorneys. MoonOne reiterated that he “respects fans’ concerns and advice,” emphasizing that he is not targeting fans who simply voiced criticism or disappointment.

Law firm DLG said in an official statement that, after the couple’s wedding news, false claims spread rapidly across online forums, social media, and YouTube, causing MoonOne and his family “severe emotional distress.” The firm added that criminal complaints against certain posters were filed on Aug. 5.

The flare-up began last month when MoonOne said in a YouTube video with Shinji that he is divorced and has a daughter.

Speculation about his private life took off, with some users overreaching or sharing unverified claims. MoonOne drew a line, saying, “It’s true I married my ex after a premarital pregnancy, but allegations that I bullied anyone during school or military service are baseless.”

He added, “After a long silence, seeing so many people worry made me reflect on my words and actions. I’ll keep trying to do better.” Still, he said legal action is unavoidable given that false rumors have harmed not only him but also Shinji and their families.
