Seo Jang-hoon’s painting came in dead last on ''Running Man'.'

On the Aug. 17 episode of SBS’s 'Running Man', the cast staged a “Masterpiece vs. Mess-terpiece” race, pitting two rival art “families” against each other to crown the ultimate winners.

Each team created paintings, and the team with the highest combined value would win ― with a twist. The price of each artwork would be determined in a very unorthodox way.

Before the final round, the members played a game of “human curling” to earn extra paint colors, unleashing every trick in the book along the way.

Guest Shin Giru wowed everyone by clearing the stones with sheer power. Seo Jang-hoon lined up on Ji Ye-eun’s stone but just stood there grinning instead of pushing it, leaving the cast baffled.

Ji Ye-eun squealed, “He likes me! He totally likes me!” and resident love-line instigator Haha pounced: “So do you like her? Do you?” sending everyone into laughter.

Kim Jong-kook’s team dominated the curling round. Song Ji-hyo earned seven extra colors, while Haha and Seo Jang-hoon picked up one each. No one on Yoo Jae-suk’s team managed to win an extra color, to their dismay.

For the final challenge, the theme was “Happy Home.” The show handed pricing duties to an AI, which would appraise each work and set the rankings accordingly.

Both teams threw themselves into their canvases. Shin Giru made a statement by dipping her feet in paint and stamping the paper. “I’m really into philosophy,” she joked, proudly defending her anything-goes approach.

When it came time for the appraisal, the AI went savage. Yang Se-chan’s piece drew a brutal read: “Worth about a convenience-store frozen meal ― 7,000 won,” leaving everyone stunned.

It didn’t stop there. On Haha’s work, the AI quipped, “3,000 won for the painting, 15,000 won for the frame.” As for Seo Jang-hoon’s, it piled on: “Even 1,000 won feels generous ― call it a disposal fee,” handing him the night’s lowest valuation.

As many expected, the top price went to Kim Jong-kook. Praising his standout skills, the AI said, “This has the most painting-like composition and figure work we’ve seen so far,” and set a record high at 42,000 won, sending his team into celebration.

Yoo Jae-suk, famously “art-challenged,” didn’t fare as well. The AI called his piece “devoid of theme, composition, or focus.” Yoo shot back, “That’s a bit much, don’t you think?” But the critiques kept coming: “Is that an elephant trunk or a person on the right?” The final price: “6,000 won ― honestly 5,000 is plenty, but there are a lot of people in it, so we’ll add labor costs.” His team was crushed.

Kim Jong-kook’s team ultimately took the win. The penalty went to the lowest scorer from the winning team, Seo Jang-hoon, as well as losing captain Yoo Jae-suk and low scorers Shin Giru and Yang Se-chan from the losing side.

The punishment? Creating art via face rubbings. Cleanliness-loving Seo bristled: “Why are we suddenly doing this?”

Yoo Jae-suk tried to soothe him and personally painted Seo’s face for the print, slathering it on like he was determined to fill every pore. “That’s enough,” Seo pleaded, finally getting him to stop.

With everything resigned to fate, Seo pressed his painted face to the paper. When the print was revealed, the members howled: “You can see the annoyance right there on the page!”
