Actress Lee Si-young (43) has issued an apology after a video she posted on social media during her trip to the United States sparked controversy over her manners.
On the 10th, Lee took to her Instagram to say, "I always check my photos and videos before uploading to see if there's anything wrong, but it seems I've made a mistake. I'm sorry to those who were uncomfortable with the last video. I will be more careful in the future." She added, "Hope everyone finishes the weekend well."
Previously, Lee had shared a video of her dining at a restaurant on Long Island Beach in the US.
The video showed Lee's young son wandering around the restaurant, eating food, dancing by shaking his bottom, and peeking at other tables.
The issue arose not only because Lee, as the guardian, did not stop her son's behavior but also because the video exposed the face of a foreign female customer without any blurring.
Some criticized, "Did you get permission from the other diners?", "Not stopping your son's behavior is against public etiquette," and "This is embarrassing for our country," leading to the video's eventual removal.
Meanwhile, Lee revealed in March that she had divorced restaurateur Jo Seung-hyun and announced in July that she was pregnant, garnering public interest.
She shared, "During my marriage, I prepared for a second child through IVF. After finalizing the legal proceedings, I debated and decided to proceed with the embryo transfer. I will fully embrace the consequences of my decision."
