KG, a member of the global girl group VCHA, has mutually agreed to terminate her exclusive contract with JYP Entertainment.
On the 8th, JYP Entertainment announced, "JYP America and KG Crown have mutually agreed to amicably end their existing contract as a member of VCHA," adding, "We support each other's future endeavors."
VCHA is a project girl group collaboration between JYP and Republic Records, a division of Universal Music in the US, officially debuting in January last year. However, controversy arose last December when KG left the team and initiated contract termination and litigation.
KG expressed via social media, "I decided to leave the team due to unfair treatment by certain staff members and an environment that was detrimental to my mental health," highlighting a desire for fundamental improvements within the idol industry.
Meanwhile, VCHA has recently rebranded as 'GIRLSET' and plans to continue their global activities as a quartet.
