Actor Park Si-hoo has announced plans to take legal action in response to rumors alleging he facilitated an affair, stating these claims are completely unfounded.
On the 7th, Park Si-hoo's agency, Hoo Factory, released an official statement saying, "We want to make it clear that the online post claiming 'Actor Park Si-hoo introduced a woman to a married man, contributing significantly to the breakdown of a family' is entirely baseless and false. We are preparing to take swift legal action in relation to this matter."
The agency further stated, "We have appointed legal representatives to file for mediation with the Press Arbitration Commission and are preparing to sue the individual who posted the false information for defamation, among other criminal and civil legal actions."
The agency also noted, "We have noticed the spread of unverified false information and malicious slander about Park Si-hoo. We are currently gathering evidence and plan to take legal action through our legal representatives, including filing criminal complaints. Considering the severe damage such illegal actions cause to the actor, we will not be offering any leniency."
Furthermore, the agency urged, "Please refrain from spreading unverified false information or posting groundless slander about the artist. We are committed to working diligently to ensure that criminal proceedings, including police investigations, proceed swiftly and to clearly prove that the accusations are false through the investigation."
Previously, 'A' claimed on social media on the 5th that Park Si-hoo had introduced a woman to her husband, causing their family to fall apart. She supported her claim with text messages and a photo of the woman. However, the woman in the photo has since come forward to deny any connection to the individuals mentioned in the post, threatening legal action. Additionally, 'A's ex-husband stated in an interview with a media outlet that he had never been introduced to any woman by Park Si-hoo, further denying the allegations.
