Starring Cho Jung-seok, the film 'My Daughter Is a Zombie' has taken the top spot at the weekend box office.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie ticket sales, 'My Daughter Is a Zombie' attracted 1.16 million people nationwide from the 1st to the 3rd of the month. The cumulative audience reached 1.86 million. Released on the 30th of last month, 'My Daughter Is a Zombie' broke through the 1 million national audience mark in just three days and surpassed 1.5 million in five days.
'My Daughter Is a Zombie' is a comedic drama about a doting father who goes into top-secret training to protect his daughter, who has become the last zombie on Earth. Directed by Pil Gam-seong, who also helmed 'Hostage: Missing Celebrity', the film features actors Cho Jung-seok, Choi Yu-ri, Lee Jung-eun, Yoon Kyung-ho, and Cho Yeo-jeong.
Second place at the box office during the same period was 'F1: The Movie', which drew 384,918 viewers. Now in its seventh week since release, 'F1: The Movie' has steadily attracted audiences, reaching the 3 million mark.
