Actors Choi Min-sik and Han So-hee are set to star in the movie 'The Intern'.
According to the official site of the Film Promotion Committee, both actors have confirmed their roles in 'The Intern'. The movie is currently in pre-production, with filming scheduled to start next month.
'The Intern' is a remake of the Hollywood film that starred Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway. It tells the story of a spirited CEO in 30s, Jules Ostin (originally played by Anne Hathaway), who hires Ben Whittaker (originally played by Robert De Niro) in 70s as an intern. The Warner Bros. movie was a global hit, grossing $190 million worldwide. It also attracted an audience of 3.61 million in South Korea when it was released in 2015.
Choi Min-sik will take on the role of the senior intern, originally played by Robert De Niro, while Han So-hee will portray the young online fashion shopping site CEO, a role originally played by Anne Hathaway.
The film's direction is helmed by Kim Do-young, renowned for 'Kim Ji-young, Born 1982'.
