Singer Kim Jung-min has turned a personal tragedy into an act of warm-hearted generosity, alongside his fan club.

Following the funeral of his late mother, Mrs. Kim Ok-boon, Kim Jung-min, together with his fan club 'Kim Jung-min and Friends', donated the entire sum of 3.5 million won collected as condolence money to the Korea Blood Cancer Association (KBDCA). This donation will be used in full to support the treatment costs of patients battling blood cancer and other forms of the disease.

Kim Jung-min, who is currently an ambassador for the Korea Blood Cancer Association, has been actively participating in various donations and campaigns to support patients since 2010. Notably, in 2024, he contributed 10 million won to aid blood cancer patients.

Regarding this donation, Kim Jung-min expressed, "I wanted to pass on the warm comfort shown by many fans during my mother's passing as hope to someone else," adding, "I wish to continue living a life of helping others, as my mother always emphasized." He further hoped that "this donation would serve as a small but warm encouragement to patients currently fighting their illnesses."

The Korea Blood Cancer Association stated, "The heartfelt generosity of Ambassador Kim Jung-min and his fan club will be a great comfort and practical help to the patients," noting that "the donated funds will be directly used to support patients struggling to afford their treatment costs."

Despite his grief, Kim Jung-min has continued to fulfill his commitments to his audience. He is currently set to perform as 'Sam' in the musical '2025 Mamma Mia!' at the LG Arts Center in Seoul and will proceed with his scheduled national tour concerts as planned.
