Singer and actor U-KNOW Yunho has successfully transformed his acting career through 'Low Life'.

In the Disney+ original series 'Low Life' (directed by Kang Yoon-sung, written by Kang Yoon-sung and Ahn Seung-hwan), set in 1977, U-KNOW Yunho plays the role of 'Beol-gu', a Mokpo thug among the hardworking, life-struggling country bumpkins vying for a sunken treasure ship. His groundbreaking character portrayal has been surprising viewers with each episode.

To embody 'Beol-gu', a character with a rough personality opposite to his usual image, U-KNOW Yunho appeared on camera with a bare face. He also maximized visual effects by dressing in flashy clothes and using props like gum and cigarettes to portray a flashy yet empty personality.

Moreover, he worked with the director to create an untold backstory for 'Beol-gu', building a detailed character from the ground up and enhancing the show's immersion and overall quality with his nuanced emotional performance.

Particularly praised was his dialect training. U-KNOW Yunho sought advice from friends in Mokpo and even went there to learn the characteristics of the 1970s dialect from local taxi drivers, striving for authenticity and adding depth to his character with fluent dialect.
