The girl group TWICE has successfully wrapped up their solo concert at Osaka's Kyocera Dome in Japan, thrilling a crowd of 100,000 fans. Adding to the excitement, they pre-released their 6th Japanese studio album and its title track 'ENEMY' at midnight today (30th), shaking the hearts of their global fanbase once again.
On July 26th and 27th, TWICE held a 360-degree open concert at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka as part of their 6th world tour 'THIS IS FOR'. This performance introduced a new direction in concert art with its all-around stage setup, not fixed to any front, captivating approximately 100,000 local fans over two days with TWICE's overwhelming performance and stage production.
Especially noteworthy at this concert was the first-ever live performance of 'ENEMY', the title track of their upcoming 6th Japanese studio album set to be officially released on August 27th, and 'Like 1', a track co-written by JIHYO, which heightened fans' anticipation.
At midnight on the 30th, the song and music video for 'ENEMY' were officially pre-released, continuing the excitement. 'ENEMY' carries the message, "No matter how many times you face setbacks, the courage to stand up again, in the end, the enemy you have to face is yourself," and its music video adds emotional depth by depicting the inner growth of overcoming conflicts with oneself and blossoming.
For this album, leader JIHYO participated in everything from selecting tracks to directing the visual concept and music video, adding depth to TWICE's musical narrative. This local studio album, released about a year after their 5th studio album 'DIVE' last July, has garnered intense interest.
Meanwhile, TWICE has been continuing their global activities, including the release of their 4th studio album 'THIS IS FOR', the world tour of the same name, and participating in a Netflix animation OST. Notably, on August 2nd (local time), they are set to headline the world-renowned music festival 'Lollapalooza Chicago' at Grant Park in the United States, reaffirming their status as global superstars.
